- Mr. Akshay Ingle student from third year BE Electrical published a research paper entitled "The Safer Future Ignition - Laser Ignition" in International Journal of Advance Scientific Research and Engineering Trends, Volume 3, Issue 1, January 2018.
- Mr. Shailesh Chavan (4S) & Mr. Shubham Muddamwar (2S) are the players of College Kabaddi team which is runner up in Zeniths 2K18 sport competition held at Nanded during 9 -11 February 2018.
- Mr. Akshay Ingle (2S) successfully completed the NPTEL online course on "Basic Electrical Circuits" conducted by IIT Madras.
- Successful Installation of 100 kW roof top Grid connected Solar Power Plant in college campus & it starts functioning smoothly. (Nov 2017).
- Dr. S. R. Paraskar elected as a Member of Board of Studies (Electrical Engineering) in Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati October2017.

- Mr. Akshay Ingle student of second year BE Electrical secured Second rank in State Yoga Championship organized by Maharashtra Himalaya Yoga Olympiad Association held on 19 & 20th March, 2017.
- Mr. Akash Chipade & Mr. Nayan Tale students from third year BE Electrical received a First Prize of Rs Ten thousand for presenting their technical Paper entitled "Design & Development of Supercapacitor". On 10th March 2017 at College of Engineering & Technology Akola.
- Mr. Nayan Tale from third year BE Electrical (Electronics & Power) secure a first prize in Paper Presentation competition (Vidyotan 2016-17) held at SIPNA college of Engineering & Technology, Amravati on 17th September 2016. He presents a research paper on "Microwave Photonic Technology 1 - 100 GHz connectivity for wireless Communication for 5G & Wi-Fi."
- Mr. Chaitanya Gore from final year BE Electrical (Electronics & Power) took a part as a delegate from IEEE Bombay section in the IEEE REGION 10 Congress held at Bengaluru on 25th -27th August, 2016.
- MOU is signed between SSGMCE Shegaon & M/s. Mitsubishi Electric (India) Pvt. Ltd. Pune to develop a new "PLC & Factory Automation Lab" with state of art facilities for providing the training to students & faculties in engineering Institutes.
- Ankita Shekar, Ankita Dahake, Reshma Rathod, Akshay Raut, Nirmal Ankaikar & Prasad Jadhao students from third Year BE Electrical received the Best IDEA and IMPLEMENTATION AWARD in competition Conducted by Ignited Innovators Of India and College Of Engineering, Pune. - Mrs. A. U. Jawadekar is honored by PhD degree in the faculty of Engineering & Technology from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati (Feb 2016)
- Chaitanya Gore & Harshal Muley students from third Year BE Electrical present their project at International Exhibition ELECRAMA 2016 organised by IEEMA at Bangalore (13-17 Feb 2016)
- "Power Quality Lab" with state of art facilities is recently started in the department especially for projects of UG & PG students. The major equipments in the lab are funded under the scheme of MODROB - AICTE,New Delhi.
Dr. S. R. Paraskar (Professor, Electrical Engg Dept) have been approved as a Recognized Supervisor for Doctoral Research in the Faculty of Engineering in PAHER University, Udaipur, India. - Prof. S. S. Jadhao has been shortlisted for the prestigious "Dr. Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement National Award" for his remarkable achievement in the field of Teaching, Research & Publication.
- Mr. Syed Amanullah from third year BE Electrical bagged II Prize in "Business Plan Competition" held at P. R. Pote College of Engineering Amravati. (February 2015)
- Mr. Chaitanya Gore & Mr Oshal Urade from second year B.E. Electrical participated in Mechatron Magneto Competition held at IIT Bombay & Secure position in top 25 out of 300 + participants.
- Prof. S. R. Paraskar is selected as a Reviewer of three International Journals & Member of BOS on North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
- Prof. Mrs. A. U. Jawadekar, Prof. S.S. Jadhao & Prof. M. R. Chavan participate in two week ISTE workshop on Signal & Systems conducted by I.I.T Kharagpur from 2nd to 12th January 2014.
- Four faculty members attended a two week Faculty Development Program on "Entrepreneurship Development" in between 12th to 24th December 2013.
- Faculty members have published nineteen technical Papers in various International Journals & Ten papers in International Conferences in last two years.
- All the Laboratories of the department are recognized for Research Work by S.G.B. Amravati University, Amravati
- Mr. Vaibhav Ghodeswar (II Year ME student) received the First Prize for best Technical paper for his Paper in International Conference on Modeling & Simulation in Engineering & Technology (ICMSET-2014) held at Godawari College of Engineering, Jalgaon on 15 -16th February 2014.
- Ms. Shubhangi Deshmukh & Ms. Snehal Agnihotri students from third Year BE (Electrical) has won the first prize for their technical Paper presented in the International Conference (BLAZE-2014) at RSCOE Buldhana (MS).
