The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a vibrant environment for undergraduate and post graduate education and research in Electrical Engineering. The Department is committed to the advancement of the frontiers of knowledge in electrical engineering and to provide the students with a stimulating and rewarding learning experience.

The department admits students for 4 years B.E. Electrical (Electronics & Power) Programme and 2 years M.E. (Electrical Power System) programme. The academic activities are supported by eight well equipped laboratories. All Laboratories are recognized for research work by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.

The department has strong industry interaction and has been involved in development of State of art products for Industry, and consultancy projects.

The department is strong with senior faculty members and experts in various fields of electrical engineering. The broad area of expertise includes Power system restructuring & reforms, Digital Signal Processing, Application of Artificial Intelligence in Electrical Engineering, Power System Deregulation, Power System Transients, Distribution Automation, High Voltage Engineering Power Quality and FACTS devices, condition monitoring of electrical equipment.
