Project - Solar Power Plant

A grid connected roof-top solar power with a capacity of 310 kW is our major solar initiative in our campus. The plant has a tie-up with MSEDCL, Shegaon with central finance assistant from Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) Pune, of around 31 Lakhs. The plant is installed on the roof-top of faculty building. The plant has mainly consisted of a solar PV array with module capacity of 315 Wp x 320 Nos. 325 Wp x 320 Nos. 330 Wp x 336 Nos. Tie Grid Inverter of 30 KW x 12 Nos. AC Distribution Box, DC Distribution Box, Generation Meter, Circuit Breaker, AC and DC cable etc.

Project information

The inverter has a built-in controller which extracts maximum power output from the solar PV array. The voltage level, phase and frequency of the inverter to feed AC output are matched with that of grid. The energy generated by the plant is used for campus utility. In case, when the load is less, the energy generated by the plant or surplus energy is fed in the grid of MSEDCL.

The performance of the plant is monitor with the help of Wireless remote monitoring inverter. The inverter has a Wi-Fi function and the Wi-Fi plug in the accessories are used to realize the connection between the inverter and the network. With the help of this module, we will monitor the performance of the system, just by login through the internet on the website provided by the manufacturer.
